I’m Carissa MacLennan, a Minneapolis-based Senior Graphic Designer and Art Director with 12 years of experience creating thoughtful, strategic design that connects emotionally, delights the senses, and drives businesses forward.

I’m most in my element when I’m building visual identities, shaping brand stories, and bringing creative direction to life, especially for purpose-driven, people-first brands. My work blends intuition and intention, always with an eye for clarity, cohesion, and a bit of delight.

My happy place is working with purpose-driven brands that care about connection, clarity, and showing up as their best selves. I specialize in branding, creative direction, and design systems that are both beautiful and functional, with a toolkit that includes Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, and a deep love of typography, color, and well-timed whitespace.

Outside of work, you can usually find me parenting two tiny humans, finding new ways to play (currently: baking sourdough, painting, and jumping on my trampoline), or obsessing over brand strategy, and rescuing cats.
